Containers Application

GUIDELINES FOR APPLICATION OF CONTAINERS

DROP BOTTOM

Standard containers are available in capacities of 3, 4, 6 and 8 Cu. yds. The containers are open top for dock loading and drop bottom for bottom dump. Various options are offered such as counterbalanced lids to close the top, casters for in-plant movement or other areas where it may not be practical for handling with the LFW. They can also be equipped with sump bottom if small amounts of liquid are present.

THESE CONTAINERS ARE NORMALLY USED IN HEAVY INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS WHEN SOLID MATERIAL IS TO BE HANDLED SUCH AS PALLETS, WOOD, HEAVY CARDBOARD AND SCRAP STEEL.

FLAT TOP

Standard containers are available in capacities of 6, 8, 10 and 12 cu. yds. The containers are open top for dock loading and drop bottom for bottom dump. They are similar to the drop bottoms except for lighter construction. Options and sumps are the same.

THESE CONTAINERS ARE NORMALLY USED FOR HANDLING LIGHT BULKY MATERIAL SUCH AS PAPER AND REFUSE IN COMMERCIAL APPLICATIONS.

UNIVERSAL

Standard containers are available in capacities of 6, 8, 10 and 12 cu.yds. The containers are open top for dock loading and equipped with two hinged end doors for ground loading. They are drop bottom for bottom dump. Options include top lids, counterbalanced lids to close the top and casters for rolling the containers into tight areas where the LFW may be restricted. They can also be equipped with a sump bottom if small amounts of liquid are present.

THESE CONTAINERS ARE NORMALLY USED FOR HANDLING LIGHT BULKY MATERIAL IN COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS.

TILT

Standard containers are available in capacities of 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 cu. yds. The containers are open top for ground level loading; liquid tight and tilt to dump. Options include counterbalanced lids to close the top and casters for rolling the containers into tight areas where the LFW may be restricted.

THESE CONTAINERS ARE NORMALLY USED FOR HANDLING SLUDGE AND LIQUID IN SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANTS, CHEMICAL PLANTS, WATER TREATMENT PLANTS, ETC.

SKIPS

Standard containers are available in capacities of 3, 4 and 6 Cu. yds. The containers are open and may be equipped with choice of flat bottom or lip. Both tilt to dump or may be unloaded by hand.

Flat bottoms are used for storage or handling of construction material, scrap steel, etc. They may be loaded by hand, crane or wheelbarrow.

Skips with lips are used for storage and handling of similar material but will contain small amounts of liquid in machine turnings. The lip will allow the container to hold more material than a flat bottom without spillage.

They are used in scrap, industrial and construction applications.
